Applicants must ensure that they meet the following requirements if they’re to be considered for admission. Two types of applications are accepted, Online through LSAC (recommended) and paper applications. A non-refundable application fee of $85 is required.
What GPA score do I need for Georgetown law?
A median GPA of 3.74. It should be noted that Georgetown Law School states that it there’s no minimum GPA requirement. However, a median GPA of 3.74 was recorded for the 2020/2021 first year class with a 25th Percentile GPA of 3.49.
What LSAT score do I need for Georgetown?
A minimum LSAT score of 163 and a median score of 168 will be a boost to applicants bid for admission. Georgetown Law however, states that it has no minimum requirement for LSAT, GRE or GMAT score for admission consideration.

All applicants must register with LSAC’s Credential Assembly Service (CAS) in order to transmit academic transcripts to Georgetown Law. Transcripts from all schools attended must be sent to LSAC directly from the institution.
A minimum of one recommendation letter, preferably by a professor is required. The professor should be best placed to attest to applicant’s academic abilities.
Applicants to the Georgetown Law program are expected to submit a copy of their resume. It should detail their work experience and extra curricular activities.
Georgetown Law does not have a minimum or maximum length for the personal statement, though it is recommended that applicants submit a personal statement around two pages double-spaced. You can write your personal statement on any subject that will enable the Admissions Committee to get to know you.
If your answer to any of the conduct questions in the application is “YES”, then you’re required to explain fully in an attached statement.
Applicants are encouraged to submit a statement on how their background would contribute to the diversity of the Georgetown University community. Please note that this statement is optional.
To further enable the admissions committee to know you better, you can submit further 250-word statements answering any of the following questions.
1. What is something important that you have changed your mind about?
2. What unpopular opinion do you have, and why?
3. Tell us about a time in the last five years when you stood up for yourself.
4. Share a Top Ten List with us.

September 7, 2021 – Applications open for Fall 2022 enrollment.
March 1, 2022 – Early Decision Application deadline in order to receive a decision within 4 weeks of completion. (You can continue to apply Early Decision at any time, but the 4 week turnaround is not guaranteed after March 1.)
March 1, 2022 – Recommended submission date for all JD applicants. (Applications continue to accepted after March 1.)
